Cancer Intelligence / ecancer
ecancer is a leading oncology channel committed to improving cancer communication and education with the goal of optimising patient care and outcomes. By using the latest technologies, ecancer works closely with leading figures in oncology to inform and educate the global cancer community.
ecancer was set up first as an open access journal in 2006, then an online video channel in 2008, by Professors Gordon McVie and Umberto Veronesi.
Cancer Intelligence is the publisher of ecancer.
As leaders on WP10 (dissemination, communication and exploitation) ecancer's main role will be to disseminate the results from iManageCancer. ecancer will act as the web address and reservoir for all papers, reports and publications from the iManageCancer project.
ecancer currently hosts hundreds of oncology videos, thousands of hours of content since the launch of ecancer.tv (the video section of the site) in 2008. ecancer’s experience will allow the broadcast of videos relating to the project and testing of pilot television.
In addition to leading WP10, ecancer is involved in WP2, WP5 and WP9, so specifically the initial project definition phase, as well as the later clinical trials.
